CONTEXT

We’re growing fast, and so are our AI capabilities.

As we expand our product offering and continue transforming clinical workflows, we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Generative AI in real-world healthcare settings. To do this, we need someone who can help us continue scaling our AI systems, taking them to the next level in terms of reliability, scalability, and real-world integration.

We’re looking for a Senior AI Engineer who’s ready to get their hands dirty: experimenting, shipping, and iterating in an environment where reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable.

If you’re excited about building things that truly matter—with real impact on patients and healthcare professionals—and want to help us take our voice-based medical device to the next level, this might be your place 🚀

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Your mission will be to design and develop scalable Generative AI solutions that are reliable, safe, and aligned with real-world clinical environments.

You’ll work in the AI team, working hand in hand with our co-founder and CTO, Product Managers, and our AI Engineers. You’ll bring deep technical expertise and help us drive forward our GenAI architecture, from prompting strategies and fine-tuning to infrastructure, evaluation, and deployment.

You’ll be coding, experimenting, deploying, and iterating—while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and compliance to ensure that what we build is not only powerful but also safe and clinically meaningful.

You’ll also play a key role in shaping how our Generative AI capabilities evolve and ensuring that we continue delivering AI that is trustworthy, traceable, and practical in clinical settings.

What to expect during your first months with us

During your first month:

You’ll focus on shadowing key team members and getting up to speed with our product, systems, and workflows. You’ll work closely with the team to understand our GenAI architecture and clinical use cases, while familiarizing yourself with our development processes and team dynamics.

By the end of month three, we expect to start:

By this time, you’ll have gained autonomy in your tasks and be contributing to the design, development, and deployment of key systems. You’ll be able to take ownership of projects, collaborate efficiently with other teams, and begin to make impactful improvements to our GenAI architecture.

After three months:

You’ll be fully consolidated in your role, proactively identifying areas for improvement, mentoring others, and driving important projects forward. You’ll be a key contributor in shaping the future of our Generative AI capabilities, ensuring that our systems are scalable, efficient, and well-aligned with the needs of clinical environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll be responsible for driving forward our Generative AI capabilities, ensuring that our systems are scalable, reliable, and compliant with clinical regulations. Here are your main challenges and key responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable GenAI systems, ensuring they meet the performance, safety, and reliability requirements of clinical environments.
  • Lead efforts in fine-tuning models, implementing advanced prompting strategies, and developing domain-specific solutions.
  • Build infrastructure to support scalable experimentation, evaluation, and deployment of GenAI applications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate GenAI into existing systems, optimizing performance and ensuring modularity and observability.
  • Establish best practices for model evaluation, safety, and performance, focusing on clinical relevance and reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of robust processes for data collection, model retraining, and monitoring in production environments.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that our AI solutions align with the needs of clinical teams, patients, and healthcare providers.

WITH WHOM YOU WILL WORK

Meet part of the team you’ll be working more closely to achieve your goals:

REQUIREMENTS

Below are the key knowledge and experience we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience shipping Generative AI-based software products into production environments.
  • Advanced experience in prompt engineering.
  • Hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs (Large Language Models) using open-source tools and libraries.
  • Deep understanding of AI infrastructure components: model serving, vector databases, GPU scheduling, async pipelines.
  • Familiarity with modern orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph).
  • Experience working with containerized environments, CI/CD, and performance optimization at scale.
  • Strong Python engineering skills and familiarity with backend systems integration.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English.
  • Location: Based in Spain

Bonus:

  • Prior experience in healthcare AI or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with tools for evaluating model safety, clinical reliability, and hallucination mitigation.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • 💰 Fix and variable salary
We also have flexible benefits through Cobee (ticket restaurant, transport, nursery...).
  • 🌍 Remote work in an async environment.
  • 🕓 Flexible working hours.
  • 💃 Teambuildings three time per year.
  • 🏖️ 23 days per year + your birthday + 6 local and regional holidays added to your calendar (so we can choose when to enjoy them)
  • 🧑‍🏫 Budget for training and personal development.
  • 💻 A laptop (Mac or Linux) + the equipment that you need (screen…)
  • 🛫 & last but not least, the possibility to join a team of good and ambitious people where you can create a real impact on people's lives.
